What to tell us
When you call, tell us your suburb, the kind of system you have (gas, electric, heat pump or solar), roughly how old it is and what is happening. If you can, mention the brand and model from the label. Your details are passed to an independent local contractor, who will contact you to arrange a look at the job and a written quote.
What to have ready
- The brand and model, from the label on the unit.
- The approximate age, if you know it.
- Where it sits: outside on a wall, in the laundry, in a cupboard, in the roof space or on the roof.
- What has changed: no hot water, lukewarm water, a leak, a noise, an error code.
- Whether you own or rent, and whether the property is strata.
What happens after you get in touch
We pass your enquiry to an independent plumber or gasfitter who works in your area. They will usually call to ask a few questions, then arrange to look at the system or ask for photos. After that you get a written quote. It is free, and you can take your time to compare it with any other price before deciding. If the job turns out to need a different trade — an electrician for a new circuit, for example — the contractor should tell you and include it in the quote.
If water is leaking now
Turn off the cold water isolation valve to the heater and switch off its power or gas supply. That stops more water going in and the heating running while the unit is faulty. Then call.
We are a service-area business without a public shopfront, so there is no office to visit. See our about page for how the referral works.
